All-inclusive price cuts with Mweb uncapped ADSL
2011-07-08
MWEB is ready to reduce the cost of their 'all-inclusive' uncapped ADSL 1Mbps product offering Telkom voiced last month that as of one July 2011, its Quicker DSL clients will enjoy an 11.3% fall in the monthly ADSL line rental charge. This price reduction came after Telkom had already increased the velocity for its Quicker DSL consumers from up to 512Kbps to up to 1024Kbps on one May 2011. MWEB has made public that they're going to join ISPs like Vox Telecomms and Web Africa in passing on the savings from Telkom to their customers. MWEB ISP MANAGER Derek Hershaw announced they're going to further scale back the pricing on their "All Inclusive 1Mbps products" from this month. "For new buyers it'll be effective one July 2011 and for our existing clients, from one Aug 2011. We had already billed them for July when Telkom made the announcement," announced Hershaw. MWEB's standard comprehensive 1Mbps uncapped formed service is now priced up at R588, down from the prior R599. MWEB Business' Uncapped Unshaped 1Mbps bundled service now costs R1288 a month rather than the common R1299.
